Filippos Andreou
Managing Partner
Leveraging on his significant banking expertise, strong turnaround track record and proven execution capability, Filippos founded Fortivis in 2019, a specialized Investor / Advisor targeting opportunities in the Greek Corporate & SME space.
Prior to Fortivis, as the Head of the Industrial & Commercial Segment of the Recovery Business Unit of Piraeus Bank, Filippos managed a €3 billion portfolio of distressed assets. Together with a team of high performing underwriters / restructuring professionals Filippos constructed innovative value-added solutions by embracing complexity and re-evaluating the business models rather than solely focusing on NPL reduction and traditional NPL management models.
Before his involvement with distressed investments Filippos worked on the financing of a number of infrastructure, energy and PPP deals in Greece and abroad including the Greek motorway program, and advised on a number of transactions including the concession of Piraeus Port Authority container terminal and the first waste management PPP in Greece.
Filippos started his career with EY where he advised private and public sector clients across wide range of industries spanning renewable energy, infrastructure, logistics, and transportation.
Filippos holds an M.Sc. in Finance & Investment from Brunel University and a B.Sc. in Financial Economics from the University of Essex.
Vassilis Katsoulis, ACCA
Principal
Having played an integral role across numerous buy-side and sell-side transactions with Deloitte’s M&A team, Vassilis joined Fortivis to head our Business Process Management (BPM) service line.
During his Deloitte tenure, Vassilis consistently demonstrated strong leadership abilities, guiding agile cross-functional teams with a results-driven mindset and was instrumental in delivering actionable insights and ensuring successful deal execution.
Complementing his transactional experience, Vassilis’ diverse background includes financial advisory work with Grant Thornton, where he focused on enhancing financial reporting quality for his clients, as well as serving as a Financial Controller in the insurance sector. This background provided him with an in-depth understanding of financial reporting, performance metrics, and risk management – areas now central to advising Fortivis clients.
Vassilis holds a B.Sc. in Banking and Financial Management from the University of Piraeus and an M.Sc. in Applied Economics and Finance from the Athens University of Economics and Business. He has completed all ACCA qualification modules and passed the CFA Level II exams.
